In 1996 I began a journey that started with a strong words form God. I had just been baptised in the Holy Spirit and delivered from many demons that had been running my life for many years. the sense of freedom that deliverance gives, is quite indescribable. I immediately heard the Holy Spirit say, after my deliverance session was over, “You have been set free in the name of Jesus Christ, now… go and set others free!”

While weighing up the magnitude of these words, something struck me. All these years I have been living life like a prisoner, when the truth is, Christ set me free even before I was born! Read the following scripture… Eph 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will…” (Emphasis mine)

As an addition to this word from the Holy Spirit, I was sitting at my computer a couple of weeks after, writing a letter to a Pastor, when I saw a vision that was so vivid it left me shaking in my seat. I had never experienced anything like it before, or since. I may have shared this with you before but please bare with me. The scene was a battle ground. I stood looking from the sidelines onto a hill where shells and artillery were flying and exploding all over the place. The barrage was coming from the bottom of the hill but I couldn’t see what it was aimed at. As I looked up the hill I saw a man clamber over the top and start to make his way down the hill. He was dressed in full battle fatigues as he descended the hill under vicious enemy fire. I watched as the bullets bounced off him like he was surrounded in some invisible shield. He was making his way to the bottom of the hill.

When he reached his destination, I saw him stoop down and lift what looked like a bamboo gate. He then reached into a bamboo cage sunk into the ground, and pulled out what can only be described as a skeleton of a human being. This prisoner was so emaciated that I could see every bone in his body. The solder lifted him up and put him over his shoulder. He then turned and started to make his way back up the hill. All this time the enemy fire was unrelenting. Once the prisoner was on the solder’s back, the bullets couldn’t harm him. About half way up the hill the solder took the prisoner to the side and laid him down behind a rock. I watched as the solder took something out of his rucksack. It looked like a carton of milk which he proceeded to feed the prisoner. I saw life start to flow into the prisoner’s face and strength return. Once the solder was satisfied that the prisoner was stronger, he put him back on his shoulder and proceeded back up the hill. I watched fascinated as they soon disappeared over the top.

A few moments later I saw the soldier come back over the hill, I remember thinking, “he’s going back for another one!” But when the soldier came closer to where I was standing, I noticed something that shocked me to the core. This was not the same soldier; the strong warrior that passed me this time was in fact, the skeleton that had been rescued by the first soldier.

This was the end of the vision, but the lessons it taught me will live with me into eternity. This was a visual summary of what had just happened to me when Christ set me free from my own prison. It told me that I was set free to be a warrior in the Kingdom of heaven - not just for the sake of my personal liberation, but to empower me to set other prisoners free. Although this spoke to me directly, it is also speaking to every born again child of God. If you are reading this whilst feeling the pain of the prisoner, then let me tell you now, you were predestined for freedom not bondage! Take hold of your God given right and kick the prison doors open! Don’t listen to the lies any more; it’s not true that you haven’t got what it takes to be victorious.

The biggest lie we have swallowed, thanks to the look warm, denominational, religious falsehood we are being force-fed today, is… individual believers must work inside the “church” if they are to be effective.” The modern model of Christianity is creating spiritual cripples so disabled; that they often can’t function without the support system of their church group. Now don’t get me wrong hear, I’m not saying we should be independent, loose cannons as this is also un-scriptural. We are told to come together especially as we see the evil day coming (see Ephesians 6:13). However there comes a time when we must, “come out of her my people.” We can’t afford to live under a compromised system. 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

We support this broken church system despite the fact that many congregations in the land have sick and demon possessed people struggling to get through from one powerless Sunday to the next. Scripture says, James 5:14-15 “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” Do you see who has the responsibility hear? The Elders, not the sick person! The elders are the ones who should pray the prayer of faith, the sick will be raised up and their sin forgiven. Why does it mention sin forgiven in this passage? Because sin and disease have the same root! Satan, and it was all dealt with at the cross. On Him was placed all of our transgressions and by His strips we were HEALED! 1Pe 2:24-25 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

I languished for many years in powerless and in some cases, downright evil congregations of man’s making. I shudder with embarrassment when I look at a church that will sanction openly homosexual clergy, whilst they claim their roots in the Reformation and the struggle of the Covenanter’s. I think of George Wishart, burning at the stake at St Andrews rather than compromise His Lord’s Gospel of Grace. My heart sinks, when I read about Robert Cargill, who feared climbing the pulpit steps to preach the holy word of God, more that the steps to the cruel scaffold upon which he was martyred for Christ. Cargill publicly ex-communicated the King because he dared to take upon himself the role of head of Christ’s Church in Scotland.

Today we have ministers in the Church of Scotland, condoning the ordination of sodomites into the high office that our forefathers died, in the cruelest fashion, to preserve. Is it any wonder we are living in powerless congregations of bound-up, ineffectual, struggling and often hopeless people? Friends, we cannot look to God and beg Him to move in a kind of Church that condones debauchery. It is only the longsuffering of our Redeemer that stops Him from wiping us out completely.

Neither can we claim ignorance when we are willing to watch such utterly carnal, Godless men destroy the precious thing the Covenanter's died to preserve.

However… as Elijah discovered as he bemoaned the fact that only he was speaking of God’s holiness in a land of utter debauchery, God has many that have not bowed the knee to Baal. Are we willing to stand up? If you look through the Revival Scotland web site you will find articles about the evil deceptions that abound in this 21st century, end time stage upon which we all find ourselves. Some have accused me of focusing on evil instead of the message of hope portrayed in the Gospel. Let’s look at what the word has to say…

Matthew 7:13-19 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Emphasis mine, King James Authorized Version throughout)

It is our Christian duty to expose false prophets, by shinning a light on the fruit they are producing. The deception that we find ourselves in today, bares bad fruit. “Ye shall know them by their fruit” not, the letters after their name, the size of their congregation, the pious words they speak… their fruit!

How did we come from the righteous men of the Reformation and Covenanting church, to the moral mess we have today? The devil is a gradualist, another way of saying it is, he uses the “thin edge of the wedge” to burse the church asunder. Satan knows that if he tries to bring falsehood in quickly, the people will rebel. So bit by bit he chips away at the Church. Over time, he can take complacent believers to a place where they will become believers of a lie. How else could the Church in Scotland even consider that the Catholic Church is, or ever was, part of the body of Christ? Why would we follow a Church leadership so blatantly saturated by the evils of Freemasonry, and still fool ourselves into thinking we are following them as they follow Christ? Why are we surprised when they stray from the message of Christ?

Am I picking on the Church of Scotland? No, far from it, because there are no denominations untouched… not even one! But can we know when a body of believers is following Christ and not man? The answer is… of course, look to the fruit. Those who have sold out for Christ will be showing abundant GOOD FRUIT! What is good fruit? Mark 16:15-20 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

So are signs and wonders what we are looking for? Well those who were sucked into the Todd Bentley fiasco know the danger of following the “anointing” instead of the “anointed one” who is Christ. You see all of the above “signs” were evidence of “the Lord working with them.” Working with whom? The Pastor of the Church? The Evangelist? Absolutely not, it says, “he that believeth and is baptized…” So is God not working with the Pastor and Evangelist? Yes, but because there are believers first, not because they are in a position of leadership. We have been brain washed into thinking that as “lay persons” we have no responsibility to obey the above scripture; we think it’s the leadership’s job. Let me make this simple, do you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God? Do you believe that he is come in the flesh? Do you believe that he was crucified, died, and on the third day he was raised from the dead and that he now sits at the right hand of God? If the answers yes, then… “In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (See above)

If you come across a body of believers and every one of them are… praying for the sick, casting out demons, preaching the uncompromising word of God to repent and believe, with leadership more servant minded than the congregation… then, you are looking at good fruit.

Friends, you and I have a responsibility to minister to this dying world. There is no excuse. Some have said to me, “healing the sick is not my ministry; I’m more of an intercessor.” Then you are, according to the word of God above, not a believer. I’m not being judgmental friends. I’m not your judge, the word of God is! There is no condemnation hear - if you are a believer, then repent and God will forgive you. You will see Him move you in ways that will astonish this lost and sin soaked society.

At the end of the day, we have the leadership we deserve. It’s time to bring down this idol called “the ministry” and accept what the word says about every believer… Revelation 1:5-6 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Every believer is a priest in the kingdom of Heaven. Peter 2:4-5 “To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

Some of those who minister over us have sold out to salary, pension and the adoration of the people sadly, leading many of them astray. If we as believers, fail to take up our own spiritual armor and wield the Sword of the Spirit to engage the enemy as the warriors, Priests and Kings we are called to be, we have no place blaming anyone but ourselves.

If this is speaking to you, get in touch. Whilst we can kick the doors of demonic oppression and sickness down ourselves, many, like me, need a brother or sister to drag them out of the pit and walk with them to freedom. We can come out of the bamboo cage, be strengthened, armed and primed to give the devil the fight of his life, or we can waste away on a diet of junk food, getting weaker every day. God wants us feeding on “strong meat” which is DOING the word of God…

John 4:30-34 “Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

Let God be true and every man a liar… To God be all the glory
